Compass is a school management solution that allows parents and carers to access up-to-date and meaningful information about your school and your child’s progress.
At Wayi, we use Compass for parents to add attendance notes, book Student Support Group meetings, and review Individual Learning Plans. Important school information and the school newsletter, the Wayi Word, is also shared through Compass weekly. This newsletter gives reminders and information as well as celebrates positive moments that have occurred at school.
Compass is further utilised to support communication between home and school through the Compass Connect portal. Compass Connect is used for two-way communication between teachers and parents. Connect is where parents can communicate if the child is being picked up early or needs clarification. Teachers will check Connect in the afternoon or when the students are at specialists. Teachers will respond to messages based on urgency in 24-48 hours.
