ANNUAL PRIVACY REMINDER FOR OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy and the Schools’ Privacy Collection Notice.
Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.
We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Microsoft 365 safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Microsoft 365, please contact the school.

CLASSROOM INFORMATION SESSION – WEDNESDAY 4TH FEBRUARY

A reminder to all families that our term 1 classroom information session for parents/carers only will be held next Wednesday, February 4th (week 2), starting promptly at 4pm and concluding at 4.30pm.

These sessions are opportunities for parents to meet the class teacher and gain more knowledge of class programs.

We understand that it can be difficult to obtain supervision for students during this time and to further support participation in the sessions, families will also be able to join in online.

We look forward to seeing you online or in person for this session.

‘LATTE WITH LEANNE’ COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS – MONDAY 9TH FEBRUARY

All Wayi School community members are invited to have a ‘Latte with Leanne’ at Wayi School from 1:30pm-2:30pm on Monday, 9th February (Week 3).

Our special guest attendees for February 9th are Natasa Vignjevic-Jockovic, Wayi School’s Enrolment and Transitions Leader, and Ellie Nolan, one of Wayi Schools Learning Specialists.

The main topics being discussed will be successful transitions, as well as Compass and SeeSaw.

Latte with Leanne’ Community Connections is a casual morning tea, aimed to build and strengthen our connections with our school community – depending on your strengths, availability, and motivation, the morning could involve:

– General conversation with other parents/carers/guardians (for those of you who just want to socialise and get to know other Wayi families)

– Resourcing support (for those of you who like to socialise but keep busy at the same time) ‎
