PHOTOGRAPHING, FILMING AND RECORDING CONSENT

During the school year, there are many occasions and events where staff may photograph, film or record students participating in school activities and events. We do this for many reasons including to celebrate student participation and achievement, showcase particular learning programs, document a student’s learning journey/camps/excursions/sports events etc, and communicate with our parents and school community in newsletters.

Consent only needs to be given at the beginning of the student’s time at Wayi School. The school will provide annual reminders to parents about our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy. To review the most recent Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy please visit the Wayi School Website.

Please log in to Compass and give consent through the Insights platform. See attached link if you need instructions on how to access Insights through Compass.

ANNUAL PARENT/CARER/GUARDIAN SURVEY

WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school will be conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will open from Monday 29 July to Friday 30 August 2024.

Link to the survey and pin will be sent out via email on Monday 29th July 2024.

The survey will be conducted online, and will only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Natasa Vignjevic-Jockovic.
