On the 6th of February, we welcomed The Hon. Natalie Hutchins MP, Minister for Education and Minister Ros Spenser to officially open our school.
Wayi School is committed to creating innovative learning environments that nurture and develop all students through an ability and strength-based approach. Through collaborative partnerships, we provide learning that is individualised and holistic to ensure students become valued and contributing members of their community.
At Wayi, we are committed to supporting all students to achieve their full potential.
At Wayi, we support students to become lifelong learners through using a strength based approach and interest based activities to support students to enjoy their learning.
‘Wayi’ is a Woi-wurrung word of the Wurundjeri people meaning ‘us’ – which represents the vision for our school perfectly. We value everyone within our community and understand the important role each person adds to student learning and growth.
Developing strong communication across our school underpins our core values in support student learning and wellbeing. This extends beyond our learning programs into communicating with families and the community.
