Continuous Reporting Focus – English (Literature)
Room 3 have been working hard in Phonics this term, participating in Phonics lessons five times a week, with shared reading being a focus on two of these days. Students have been engaging with sensory and concrete materials from the book Find Spot at the Zoo, building connections between objects, pictures and the story to develop their understanding and meaning-making skills. This term, we have been exploring the letters M, D and G, while building our knowledge and understanding of functional literacy words associated with each letter. It has been wonderful to see the students’ engagement and growing confidence throughout our Phonics lessons. Well done, Room 3 – we are very proud of the progress you have been making!
