ROOM 21
Continuous Reporting Focus – Personal and Social Capabilities (Self and Social)
This week in room 21, students focused on the importance of trying new things during Personal and Social Capability lesson. Students were encouraged to choose a book of their interest to read as part of a mindfulness activity. This quiet time after outdoor play is important in helping students regulate their energy, calm their bodies, and transition back into learning, supporting a more focused and ready-to-learn mindset.
It was wonderful to see students making choices based on their interests. Some selected books about dinosaurs and princesses, while others engaged with jigsaw puzzle books or sensory books. This approach supported students in making independent choices while participating in a calm and engaging routine, with many showing enthusiasm and curiosity in their selections.
