ROOM 6
Continuous Reporting Focus – English
Term 2 in Room 6 has started with students continuing to build on the skills they developed last term across all learning areas. In English, we are focusing on using the sounds learned in Phonics Set 1 to create two- and three-letter words. Students have been practising blending sounds to read and make words, and everyone has been doing a wonderful job.
For some students, phonics sessions also provide opportunities to develop fine motor skills to support handwriting improvement. We aim to achieve these goals by the end of the term and co continue practising throughout the year to help make these skills more secure and consistent.
