YOU’RE INVITED: PARENT/CARER INFORMATION SESSION ON ONLINE SAFETY & SOCIAL MEDIA

We’re excited to partner with Craig from eSmart to host our first-ever parent information session. eSmart is Australia’s trusted provider of online safety education. We know that many of our students are regularly accessing the internet through social media, chat apps, or gaming platforms. These digital spaces can be powerful tools, however, they also present real and growing challenges for both parents and children.

Children are navigating complex online environments, often without fully understanding the potential risks, such as cyberbullying, exposure to inappropriate content, contact with unknown people and privacy breaches. If you and your children are currently experiencing these challenges, join us for an important session focused on keeping our children safe online.

This session will cover:

• Privacy and security tips

• Cyberbullying awareness

• Understand the latest apps, games, and social media platforms your child may be using

• Feel more confident guiding your child in safe and responsible digital behaviour

We will be hosting two sessions to accommodate parent availability. You only need to attend one as the content will be the same. The sessions will be hosted onsite at school, but there will be an option for Webex. Please note this will be a child free event. If you would like to attend, please RSVP using the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/ffrbdP3seY

ROOM 10

In Room 10 the introduction of Phonics program has ignited excitement in students. The lessons encapsulate identifying colours and reading or showing them, reading and reciting the alphabet; and reading out the sound, our focus is on letters; ( s,a,t ), this week we attempted to blend ‘a’ and ‘t’, to make (at). The students are also exposed to developing a routine to pick mini white boards, pen and eraser and attempt to write the letters or just draw lines on the board, chin this or show to teacher and bin meaning erase everything and park or stop and return everything to the shelves. This has been an exciting journey for all levels.
