CELEBRATIONS
We are excited to celebrate Harmony Day this Wednesday 18th March! This special day is all about inclusivity, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone in our community.
To mark the occasion, we invite all students to wear something orange and bring a gold coin donation, which will go towards the purchase of Diversity and Inclusive books for the school library.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic day of unity and celebration!

This Friday 20th March, we will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day by wearing bold, colourful socks! This fun tradition is a way to raise awareness and celebrate the uniqueness of individuals with Down syndrome.
At our school, we are proud to have students with Down syndrome as part of our community. They bring joy, resilience, and individuality to our classrooms, and we cherish the diversity they add to our school.
We invite all students to join us in wearing their brightest, most colourful socks as we recognize and celebrate the wonderful contributions of our students with Down syndrome.
Thank you for your support in making this a meaningful and inclusive celebration!

Wayi School will be celebrating Cultural Diversity Week from 23–29 March 2026. This special week is celebrated across Victoria and recognises the many cultures, languages and traditions that make our communities vibrant and unique.
The 2026 theme, “Culture Connects Us All,” highlights how sharing our stories, traditions and experiences helps build understanding, belonging and connection within our community. During the week, students will participate in a range of activities that explore different cultures and celebrate the diversity within our school.
We look forward to celebrating the cultures that make our community so special!
