ROOM 19

Continuous Reporting Focus – English

This term in English, our focus is on developing students’ phonics skills. Phonics plays a vital role in learning to read, providing the foundation for literacy and opening the door to success across all learning areas.

While building these skills requires practice and consistency, we aim to make learning engaging and meaningful. In Room 19, we regularly visit the library so students can apply their phonics knowledge to real books and develop a love of reading. As you can see, when students are immersed in a great book, it can capture their full attention
