EDUCATION WEEK 2024 – SPOTLIGHT ON STEM

This year, Education Week runs from Monday, May 13th to Friday, May 17th. This year’s theme ‘Spotlight on STEM’ focuses on the ways science, technology, engineering and maths can be brought to life in the classroom.
Education Week is an opportunity for our school to celebrate and share with you how we encourage our students to be active learners.
Our school is proud to encourage active learners through a variety of activities. Have a look at what we have to look forward to this week!

‘LATTE WITH LEANNE’ COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS – THURSDAY MAY 23RD

All Wayi School community members are invited to have a ‘Latte with Leanne’ at Wayi School from 10:00am – 11:00am on Thursday the 23rd of May.
If you would like to attend, please fill out the attached RSVP form by Monday, May 2oth.
‘Latte with Leanne’ Community Connections is a casual morning tea, aimed to build and strengthen our connections with our school community – depending on your strengths, availability, and motivation, the morning could involve:
– General conversation with other parents/carers/guardians (for those of you who just want to socialise and get to know other Wayi families)
– Strategising and planning fundraising events for our school (for those of you who like to get busy and active and have some spare time to raise some $$$)
– Resourcing support (for those of you who like to socialise but keep busy at the same time)
We hope to see you there!

POST SCHOOL TRANSITIONS

Visiting open days is a great way to prepare yourself and your child for the transition to post-school services once they have completed their last year of school. Open day can support your understanding of the transition process, the types of settings, and the opportunities your child will receive at each service.

One of the many services available, Onemda, has invited families to visit their brand-new purpose-built facility in Westmeadows. Please see the flyer below for more information.
