‎TERM 4 CLASSROOM INFORMATION SESSION

Our term 4 classroom information session will be held on Wednesday October 14th (week 2) starting promptly at 4pm and concluding at 4.30pm. Please note that this session is for parents and carers only (no students). Unfortunately, we are unable to supervise students during this time, so we kindly ask that students do not attend.

The focus for our term 4 session will be Student Transitions for 2027.

We understand that arranging supervision for students can be challenging. To support participation families will also have the option to join the session online via Microsoft Teams.

We look forward to seeing you online or in person for this session.

ACTION REQUIRED: UPDATED PHOTO PERMISSION FORM

Following our recent communication about changes to how identifiable student photos are shared, our Photo Consent Insight has now been updated.

As part of this update, all previous Seesaw permission responses have been reset. This means that all families must complete the Seesaw section of the Photo Consent Insight again, even if they have previously submitted their preferences.

The updated options are:

– Yes – Family Only: Photos and videos will only be shared directly with your family through Seesaw.

– Yes – Family and Whole School: Photos and videos will be shared directly with your family. Photos from whole-school events, activities and celebrations may also occasionally be shared through the Whole School Announcements thread on Seesaw.

– No: Photos and videos will not be shared through Seesaw.

To update your response, please access the Photo Consent Insight through Compass. A step-by-step guide is attached to assist you.

When completing the form, please ensure you also update the date at the bottom of the form to reflect your new permission selection.

Thank you for your prompt attention and continued support as we work to protect the safety and privacy of all students. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns

HATS REQUIRED FOR OUTSIDE PLAY

As we enter the warmer months, we kindly remind families that students and staff are required to wear a hat during outside play.
‎
We ask families to please send a suitable hat to school with their child, clearly labelled with their first and last name
‎
We understand that wearing a hat may be challenging for some students due to sensory needs. Where needed, our staff will work alongside the Occupational Therapy team and families to explore reasonable adjustments that best support each student.
‎
Wayi School uses Hamilton Active Family SPF 50+ Sunscreen. If this sunscreen is not suitable for your child, please let their classroom teacher know and provide an appropriate alternative.
‎
Thank you for working with us to help keep our school community safe in the sun!
