100 DAYS OF PREP – 100 DAYS OF VOICE, CHOICE AND INDEPENDENCE – WEDNESDAY 22 JULY

Our Prep students are about to reach an exciting milestone – 100 Days of Prep! Over the past 100 days, they have explored their voice, made meaningful choices, and continued developing their independence in ways that are unique to each learner.

From building relationships and learning new routines to celebrating personal achievements and developing new skills, every student’s journey has been different. We are incredibly proud of the determination, growth, and joy our Prep students have shown and look forward to celebrating this special milestone together.

Dress Up as a 100-Year-Old

One of the highlights of the day will be seeing our Prep students transformed into 100-year-olds! Start planning those creative costumes now—we can’t wait to see everyone’s fantastic ideas.

100 Days of Learning & Growing

Students will enjoy a range of engaging classroom activities that celebrate their first 100 days at school. Through creative arts and crafts, students will reflect on their learning journey and the many ways they have explored their voice, exercised choice, and built independence.

100 Days Food Challenge

Children will take part in a fun and tasty activity by creating a plate or snack featuring 100 food items. Think chips, crackers, cereal pieces, or even 100s and 1000s—get creative!

Stories and Celebrations

We’ll enjoy special 100 Days stories, reflect on our learning journey, and celebrate with music, laughter, and plenty of memorable photo opportunities.

Celebrating Every Step

The first 100 days of school are about so much more than counting—they’re about celebrating each student’s unique journey. At Wayi School, we recognise and celebrate every step our students take as they explore their voice, make choices, and build independence in ways that are meaningful to them.

We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with our students and families. One hundred days ago, our Prep students began their school journey at Wayi School, and we are proud to celebrate how much they have learned, experienced, and achieved together. The countdown is on—we can’t wait to celebrate 100 Days of Voice, Choice & Independence!

TERM 3 CLASSROOM INFORMATION SESSION

Our term 3 classroom information session for parents/carers only will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd (week 2, term 3), starting promptly at 4pm and concluding at 4.30pm.

These sessions are opportunities for parents to meet the class teacher and gain more knowledge of class programs, and the main focus will be shared at the beginning of next term.

We understand that it can be difficult to obtain supervision for students during this time and to further support participation in the sessions, families will also be able to join in online.

VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM – WEEK 3 (ROOMS 19-26 ONLY)

We’re excited to be welcoming volleyball to our school from 27–31 July as part of the Sporting Schools program.

Sporting Schools allows students to experience different sports in a fun, supportive environment, encouraging them to get active, build confidence, learn new skills and, most importantly, enjoy participating.

Throughout the week, students in Rooms 19–26 will take part in volleyball sessions with experienced coaches. Whether they’re picking up a volleyball for the first time or building on skills they already have, the focus will be on having a go, working together and celebrating each student’s successes.

We’re looking forward to seeing our students embrace this exciting opportunity and enjoy a wonderful week of movement, learning and fun.
