DIWALI

Today we celebrated Diwali!
Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, with variations celebrated in other Indian religions. It symbolises the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
We had a celebration with a yummy morning tea/lunch that was provided by our Diwali community. It was a great day celebrated by all.
Here’s to spreading light and happiness! 🪔✨

‘LATTE WITH LEANNE’ COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS – NEXT THURSDAY

All Wayi School community members are invited to have a ‘Latte with Leanne’ at Wayi School from 1:30pm-2:30pm this Wednesday, 22nd October (Week 3).

Our special guest attendee for October 22nd is Melissa Petrolo, Wayi School’s Enrolment Administration.

The main topics being discussed will be CSEF and State Schools Relief.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP using the below link:

https://forms.office.com/r/LxZe92NiXt

Latte with Leanne’ Community Connections is a casual morning tea, aimed to build and strengthen our connections with our school community – depending on your strengths, availability, and motivation, the morning could involve:

– General conversation with other parents/carers/guardians (for those of you who just want to socialise and get to know other Wayi families)

– Resourcing support (for those of you who like to socialise but keep busy at the same time) ‎

We hope to see you there!

HALLOWEEN DRESS UP DAY – NEXT FRIDAY

On Friday, 31st October, Wayi School will be holding a Halloween Dress Up Day!

All staff and students are encouraged to come to school dressed as their favourite characters. Staff and students will be required to remain SunSmart, with appropriate hats for outside play and enclosed shoes.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes🎃👻

* Please note, the wearing of Halloween costumes is optional, so families are asked to provide alternate clothing for their child in case they do not wish to remain in their costume all day or want to change into their costume later in the day. *
