We want to extend a big thank you to the below families and external providers for their generous donations to our Easter Raffle!

Your support doesn’t go unnoticed, and your contributions help make this event such a success.

Additionally, a huge thank you to Jim (RM 20) and his mum, Sarah, for generously donating several boxes of Cubeez for our students. These will make fantastic SWPBS prizes and valuable classroom resources!

SWPBS CELEBRATION DAY – FOOD BANK FOOD FIGHT

Next Wednesday 2^nd of April our Term 1 Celebration Day will be taking place, to recognise and reward the positive efforts students have made in displaying our school values of Voice, Choice and Independence.

The special event will be a Foodbank Food Fight, where staff and students will participate in a fun-filled and messy challenge which will take place on the school oval. Please note, no actual food is involved in the ‘food fight’.

Students are encouraged to wear a white t-shirt and shorts for the colourful ‘food fight’. They will also need a towel and a change of clothing for after the event. This is an optional activity, with students supported to participate in a manner that they are comfortable with. Reasonable adjustments will be implemented according to your child’s individual needs and choice of participation. This may look like cheering and watching from the sidelines rather than participating directly in the ‘food fight’ activity

NDIS THERAPISTS

Do you want your NDIS Therapist to connect with our school team?

All NDIS Therapists can connect with our school via our school email: wayi.school@education.vic.gov.au

A member from our Therapy Team or Wellbeing Team will then link in with your child’s therapist.

We ask that NDIS Therapists directly liaise Therapy or Wellbeing Team members. We can support NDIS Therapists in scheduling observational visits and collaborate to ensure consistency across students’ home and school environments.

LAST DAY OF TERM 1 – NEXT FRIDAY 4TH APRIL

The last day of Term 1 is next Friday the 4th of April 2025.

Students will finish at the usual time of 3:00pm. If you wish to collect your child before then, please notify their classroom teacher via SeeSaw Messages.

ROOM 5

Room 5 has been actively exploring different letters of the alphabet, focusing not only on recognition but also on their sounds. Through our activities, we have been identifying letters, practicing their sounds, and discovering new words in the books we read together as a class. This hands-on approach is helping us build confidence in letter recognition and phonics in a fun and engaging way.
