PYJAMA, MOVIE AND GAMES DAY

On Wednesday 26th June our Term 2 School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SW PBS) Celebration Day will be taking place, to recognise and reward the positive efforts students have made in displaying our school values of Voice, Choice and Independence.
The special event will be a Pyjama, Movie and Games Day, with all students encouraged to wear their pyjamas to school and participate in a series of fun activities as a reward for their positive behaviours shown this term.
Movies and games will be available within the students’ own classroom spaces across the day, with each class allocated a time to engage with the activities set up in the Gym. In the afternoon, students will be able to watch a ‘Pie in the Face’ challenge and cheer on the staff volunteers.
We look forward to celebrating with all students on this day!
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the details of the day further, please feel free to contact the school on 7300 6600.
* Please note, the wearing of pyjamas is optional, so families are asked to provide alternate clothing for their child in case they do not wish to remain in pyjamas all day or want to change into their pyjamas later in the day. *

WAYI SCHOOL REVIEW

This year we will be setting our school’s strategic direction for the next four years. Our primary goal is to plan a pathway for us achieve our vision “empower and inspire every member of our learning community”.  To do this, we will evaluate our progress to date and plan a strategy that will identify goals, targets, and key improvement strategies – placing learning and wellbeing at the centre of our school improvement.

Key Review Dates are:

Validation Day – Tuesday 30th July

Fieldwork Day – Friday 2nd August

Final Review Day – Tuesday 6th August

The pre-review self-evaluation (PRSE) is the first stage of the school review process. The PRSE engages the whole school community in a reflective analysis of the school’s performance. The PRSE enables us to understand our progress since we opened and prepare for a rigorous and powerful school review experience, which will form the basis of our School Strategic Plan. I will be leading various opportunities to seek input and feedback from all cohorts of our community to ensure we gather a comprehensive and formative evaluation of our school progress. At various stages and in different formats, I will seek input from our parents/guardians/carers.

We are currently seeking your opinion regarding the below:

1 What does our school do well?

2 How could our school be improved?

3 What do you consider to be the highlight since we opened in January 2023?

Please use this link to complete the survey online. The survey will only be open for 1 week; it will close at midnight on Sunday 16th June.
