We are changing the program we use to communicate between the classroom and home, moving from Compass Connect to Seesaw Messages. Seesaw Messages provides a range of functions not available via Compass Connect, including the ability to translate. Families and teachers will continue to communicate about the daily needs of each child within an individual message room between the teachers working within the classroom and family members.
Notifications of whole school events and information will continue to be delivered through our whole school communication systems, including Seesaw Messages and Announcements, Compass, Wayi Word, the Wayi Website and social media.
The change to Seesaw Messages will occur from Monday the 18th of December 2023, when we set up the classes on Seesaw with the 2024 class groups.
Please see the attached Family Guide on using Seesaw Messages for more information or contact the school if you would like support accessing this feature.
Seesaw Messages – Family Guide
The last day of term 4 is on Wednesday the 20th of December.
Students will have an early finish of 2:00pm. If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact us.
Please meet our Wayi Therapy Dogs! (From left to right: Bruce, Luna, Winnie)
There are great benefits to having therapy dogs in schools. They can support students’ communication skills, social and emotional wellbeing, develop their sense of responsibility, promote positive behaviours and school attendance.
The Therapy Dog Program is a structured program overseen by the School Therapy Team. This program will officially begin in Term 1, 2024.
If you’d like your child to access this program, please sign the consent form on COMPASS.
If you have questions or concerns about this program, please contact the school therapy team.
Performance: Tap palms of flat hands together in small circles.
